Heat Detector

Heat Detector

Fire is one of the greatest threats to your family, home and business. Not only do you need to be quickly alerted — you need to quickly respond as well. Fire has the potential to wipe out everything in its path in just minutes. It can smolder undetected for hours, then suddenly explode in fiery destruction. You need to take every possible precaution to minimize its risks.

Monitored heat detectors provide the fire protection your family, home and business need. Plus, most insurance companies give an additional 5% discount on insurance if you have monitored heat or smoke detectors included with your system.

Fixed heat and rate-of-rise temperature sensors offer expanded fire detection and installation flexibility. It is ideal for hard-to-wire locations and applications that require more than smoke detection. With no wires to run, heat detectors are fast and easy to install. Heat detectors combine both rate-of-rise and fixed temperature sensors. Fires typically cause a rapid rise in temperature in the surrounding area. The heat detector's rate-of-rise thermostat senses the rise in temperature and signals an alarm if the increase is 15° or more per minute. A built-in fixed temperature sensor will also signal an alarm if the environmental temperature rises above 135°F.

Ideal for kitchens and around fire places!
